The HUD (Housing and Urban Development) TV studio in Washington DC is now being lit primarily by 12 Nila JNHs. Nila JNH was chosen for the energy savings, versatility, and punch. The fill lights and back lights all go through a Chimera soft boxes with ¼ grid. Key lights use the 30-degree Egg Crate to control spill on the touch screen monitors that are built into the set.The estimated energy savings from using the Nila LED lighting system is over 10,000 Kilowatts per year. The estimated maintenance savings, including labor, is over $4,500 per year.
