The in-line adaptor is very small and just plugs in line with your 5 pin XLR (DMX in) cable and an 8-pin Ethernet cable (RJ45 Nila Net out). Daisy chain as many as 16 Nilas from one Nila Net in-line adaptor.
The Opti-Translator provides isolation on DMX networks that are prone to noise. There are two separate Nila Net outputs that allow for 32 Nilas per output for a total of 64 Nilas from one Opti-Translator. The DMX has an input and a throughput (5-pin XLR male and female).
